Driving School in UK

April 30th, 2008

Needing some help with driving, I have looked into schools across the country. There are many to choose from and now driving schools are experiencing a surge with all the new drivers in the world. Drivers in China and India are increasing and they need to get a license before driving so that part of the world is now booming for driver licensing companies. One good company is Britannia Driving School in the UK. There have been times when I was thinking of driving while on vacation and now I have a better idea what to expect when choosing a driving school. Britannia Driving Schools provide quality driving lessons, intensive driving courses, pass plus and driving instructors training. Free online theory test, driving test game, eyesight test, tips and advice. Covering London, Surrey & Middlesex UK. I am planning a trip to Surrey to meet a friend and London of course for some sightseeing and I need a license to drive on the other side of the road.

hepatitis b symptoms have got me scared

April 23rd, 2008

I woke up feeling bright and cheery yesterday, what happened today? I woke up feeling terrible and not having much energy. I did my normal exercise and lifted some weights in hopes of getting over it with some workout and a morning juice blend. Hmmm, not much help yet. I am not sure what to think. I am feeling some stomach pain, itchy skin, and where I am itching turns a bit yellow. I feel a bit warm and have a slight cough. These are similar to hepatitis symptoms except hepatitis b symptoms include a loss of appetite with nausea and vomiting. I don’t have those symptoms so I think I am OK so far. I got a appointment with a doctor and will be seeing her later. Hepatitis b has similar symptoms but I don’t think I have that because the method of transfer is something I work hard to avoid. I will give an update if its anything serious.

Reverse Mortgages give freedom in Florida

April 9th, 2008

Going out on a limb and saying that house prices will begin to fall, rapidly. I find this statement less risky since it has already started to happen. I love a good bargain and the best ones are not found in the mall or in Bloomingdales. No, they are real estate bargains, and they are getting cheaper and cheaper since the porkers who took on mortgages too big because they thought house prices increase forever and now getting scared and dumping their houses to go find a cheap apartment. This leaves savvy investors like you and me to pick the best discounts up for cheap. There are also ways such as Florida reverse mortgages that help people stay in their house if they have equity or own their home. This is great for older people who have owned their house for awhile, but now need income to survive. Reverse mortgages give solutions to people who need them badly and don’t want to sell their home in the panic. Florida is a prime opportunity since its warm and people like to go there after they retire, lots of people will be retiring soon and needing a nice place to live. This means house prices could stabilize there.

Wise Blog with new ideas

March 12th, 2008

Things I find online give me hope that the internet will continue to evolve into more and more useful media, applications, networking and advertising. I was right there when the internet was starting. I wasn’t a big player in it, I just watched and used what was useful to me. I played EQ before it came out in 95. That was mind-boggling to see another reality. Now, its common, and the screens look more than real. I also love electronic music and back in the early 90’s, it was hard to find the good stuff in America. Now, its everywhere, and easier than ever to get and even make your own and distribute. I came across a music sharing network called GrooveShark that is offering a new spin on sharing music. I read about it on Andrew Wise Blog. Andrew is helping the business side of GrooveShark and he blogs about some interesting internet related topics.

I have to say that internet ideas are turning into great internet businesses that fill a niche for us and provide value. I love the way things are going. I know they will keep changing, I just hope I can keep changing fast enough to stay with it. I found some new things on Andrew’s blog that let me see how fast e-commerce is changing and what people are willing to pay for these days. I suggest you take a look and see for yourself.

Pain Relief when getting older

March 9th, 2008

A visit to my wife’s parents left me with a sense of youth. I don’t have to worry about some of the things that the older generations have to deal with. I have no serious things to worry about. I have no problems that have developed and take my attention away from enjoying a rewarding life. My wife’s parents have arthritis and suffer some pain on rainy days and in cold weather. They attribute it to all the fun they have had in their earlier years. They were hard on their joints. But they get joint pain relief from some supplements and medications. They say some days they don’t even remember about joint pain. They feel like they could start running marathons again if they could keep going. I like to hear these comments since they are rare from older people.

I like to think I have many more years to go before my body starts to yield. In reality, I will always have health if it is important to me. I need to take the right vitamins and joint relief products to help me through any pain that might develop.

Criminal Defense Attorney in Boston

March 6th, 2008

While on a visit to my in-laws in the Massachusetts area, I heard of their neighbor’s struggle with getting a good criminal defense attorney. I thought I had heard it all about attorneys and law practice on the East Coast, but I guess not. Their view is to get an attorney that can put in the hours to get all the details straightened out before a case goes to trial. It seems a logical way to operate, but my in-laws described that we in Seattle, don’t take such care in our practices. I beg to differ, but again, these are my in-laws, not actually related and not in search of a good attorney. They are hearing all about it through their neighbor. They found a great Boston Criminal Defense Attorney through a friend and are quite pleased. They are knowledgeable and completely committed to the cause.

I know very little about law and practicing it, but I am sure that they have a better chance now since this attorney is finding new ways to exploit the evidence found and make a better case based on local laws for their defense. I know that if I ever need good representation, I can use this Boston Attorney because I am already hearing great things. I think they have a good chance of avoiding trouble with this defense attorney.

Quality Hip Hop Samples online

February 17th, 2008

Not many people know this but Seattle has quite a popular Hip Hop scene. It is mostly underground as it has been since Sir Mix-a-lot faded out. The best thing about hip hop in Seattle is there are a lot of safe and fun night clubs that offer a place to enjoy new and experimental stuff. Since there is a big following here, the music gets soaked up quickly. The music scene is comprised of a lot of bedroom DJs that compose beats off of samples found online. Finding quality hip hop samples is part of the challenge. Since the quality samples are taken quickly, there is risk of using popular beats too much. But the best place I have found for professional hip hop samples is Remixtoolkit.com. They have a great site layout and have a huge selection of the best samples for Hip Hop beats.

Not many people know this but I also like to spin some Hip Hop and dance vinyl at home. It’s mostly a hobby but who knows, maybe one day I can get a gig and play my favorite tracks. I always wanted to have an audience to play for but never had the chance. I need a bigger budget to get some mixing equipment and make better use of the remixing technology for some new and unique hip hop tracks. Browsing my favorite online sites for samples is a fun way to spend an afternoon. I love hearing new beats.

Custom labels and stickers catch my eye first

January 29th, 2008

Has anyone given thought to how many advertisements we see everyday? And what about the ones we don’t even remember seeing? Our brain has an incredible memory that allows us to remember it even if we don’t notice it. I see all kinds of ads, but I only remember the quality ones. Some of the best are decals I see on windows and doors as well as bumper stickers. These grab my attention. I like colorful labels and things that draw my eye and reward me for looking at it. I see all types of copied ads, but I am a big fan of unique stickers and artwork. If I see custom labels and stickers, I actually study the label to see the detail. I like custom work, even its a little bit more pricey for businesses. The value that comes with it is hard to put a price on. I remember a helium balloon shop that I never would have visited without seeing a bright red logo that I found while on a walk. From that experience, I tracked down that logo and bought 20 balloons for my neighbor’s family party. The power of a good logo on a sticker is powerful.

There are things we forget easily, but for me, the easiest things to forget are dull, repeated pictures. Think of the sales power of a unique design these days. There are so many new ways to get the word out, but a solid design on a label or sticker always catches my eye first. Isn’t that the idea? Maybe I am advertisement fodder, meaning I go for anything. I fall for the bright, unique logo every time. But I benefit from some of the ideas I gain from spotting them.

A Safer Ride

January 22nd, 2008

With so many cars and trucks available, we can pick the right vehicle to suit or needs and desires. I need something safer than my current car. My kids are getting older and need more space too. I need a vehicle that has more space and is safer. There seems to be more accidents on my highway, maybe its just my perception. I might be getting paranoid about an accident but I don’t have to worry if I just find a safer vehicle. I like SUVs and trucks because they offer a safer ride and more space. My current pick is a Chevy Trailblazer. They have just the right size and are so fun to drive on long journeys and adventures. Plenty of space and a smooth ride. I know gas is more expensive, but that has never stopped me before. I will just purchase an electric truck when they are available.

Now I just have to start saving for a comfortable down payment for one. I need to find a buyer for my current car and then I can start shopping for a new Trailblazer. I have a local dealer that always greets me with a smile. I might go check what he has in stock first. I hope 2008 will be a safer year for my family than last year. It doesn’t hurt to keep improving like that.

Warm Winters in South Africa

January 8th, 2008

I have been a Seattleite way too long. I endure the cold seasons like a champ and patiently wait for our warm 3 months of the year to arrive. Is it alright if I am fed up with that? I proclaim my freedom to stay in warm weather! I am about to do something radical and I won’t regret it. I need a southern hemisphere property! My picks are Australia and South Africa. I had some bad food in Australia for a week long period so I am ruling that one out. How about South Africa then? It is warm, they speak english and their is lots of affordable property there. I am looking for a little house next to the seashore where I can enjoy warm February days! Maybe a two-story with a small porch and a swinging chair perhaps? I can’t wait now that I have started thinking about it. My choice of properties needs to be limited to small houses outside of small towns because that is more relaxing to me. I have done some research and South Africa has some very affordable property. There are many locations I have already researched, but the ones near the beach are my favorite. I would like to find a neighborhood and make some new friends nearby, but we will have to see.

I found a great property magazine that describes how to find the best places to buy a house, an apartment, or even an investment property. I might even move down there if I can find the right location. I am really excited since I started reading more about places like Jeffrey’s Bay and the Western Cape. Now I need to check my bank account to see what I can afford. No more cold winters for me.
